The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards are set to kick off Wednesday night at New York's UBS Arena.

Since its debut in 1984, the VMAs have been known for their unforgettable performances, and this year promises to be no different. Megan Thee Stallion will take on hosting duties and also perform, while a star-studded lineup of presenters and performers, including Eminem, who will open the show, and Katy Perry, this year's Video Vanguard Award recipient, will keep the excitement high.

Taylor Swift leads the nominations with a record-breaking 12 nods, and depending on the results, she could surpass Beyoncé as the most-decorated female artist in VMAs history. Close behind is Post Malone with 11 nominations.

Eminem, with eight nominations, is also on the brink of a historic achievement. He currently holds the record for the most wins by a rap artist and is aiming to become the most-awarded male artist in VMAs history, a title he shares with Peter Gabriel.

With the potential for surprise performances, unique artist collaborations, and must-see moments, this year's show is one you won’t want to miss.
